Proceedings: 1st International Symposium on OER
We are pleased to announce the proceedings of the 1st International Symposium on Open Educational Resources: Isssues for Globalization and Localization held at Utah State University in 2011. The initiative stems from a long-time working group on Technology and Education initiated through bi-national FIPSE-CAPES grant programs.
The researchers met at Utah State University during the month of April, 2011 not only to present these works, but also to openly debate these issues. Inspite of the small number of invited researchers, we benefited from a great variety of perspectives and lively debate. You find here a collection of peer-reviewed articles which we hope will contribute to this debate.
Plans for a second symposium are underway and we hope a large number of researchers from around the world will join us in thinking about these concerns.
The proceedings are available to download as a complete PDF (approximately 5mb) and its contents are licensed with a CC-BY license.
