The Chair was officially inaugurated on the 11th of November, 2014 at 9am at the auditorium of the Central Library at Unicamp with live streaming.[flickr_set id=”72157646922139434″]

The keynote was given by Prof. Celso Costa, and the talk was entitled “An open education trajectory in my life as a teacher”. Prof. Costa is the Director of the Mathematics and Statistics department at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), and was coordinator of the Open University of Braziland director of Distance Education for CAPES. He was one of the founders of Consórcio Cederj (RJ). He is coordinator of the research group on Teacher professional development and ICTs (CNPq).
We also had a detailed presentation on UNESCO’s goals for the area and the objectives of the UNESCO Chairs program by Mr. Adauto Soares, C&I Coordinator for UNESCO Brazil.
