Categorias: UnB Chair

The Academic Unit of Educational Technology of the Educational Training Council of Uruguay held a Talk on Access to Learning and Open Education Materials on June 26, 2020. This event was attended by the UNESCO Chair Coordinator in Distance Learning, Tel Amiel, Javiera Atenas (Universitat de Barcelona) and Virginia Rodés (UDELAR, Uruguay).

Experts in Open Education presented reflections on the issue of access to learning materials and on teaching practices related to content creation, legal reuse and collaborative work, particularly in Latin America.

Questions discussed include: What is the situation regarding access to learning materials in this pandemic context? What are the principles of open education? What is the relationship between open education and educational technology training and teaching practices? Is technology neutral? Does it matter which educational technology solution is used, and whether it works?
